This Risk Warning Policy explains the material risks associated with using the WireMe platform and services. It applies to all users, including individuals converting digital assets to fiat currency and liquidity providers participating in peer-to-peer transactions. By using WireMe, you acknowledge that you understand and accept these risks.
Virtual assets (including cryptocurrencies and stablecoins) are not legal tender in most jurisdictions, are not issued or guaranteed by any government, and may not be recognized as currency. No regulatory authority guarantees the value or stability of digital assets. Use of digital assets carries significant financial risk.
Digital assets can fluctuate rapidly in value. Stablecoins, while designed to maintain parity with a reference asset, can lose their peg due to issuer failure, redemption disruptions, market panic, or loss of confidence.
Liquidity may become impaired. You may experience delays, inability to convert assets, or receive significantly less value than expected. WireMe does not guarantee liquidity, redemption, or price stability.
WireMe LLC operates a technology platform and does not provide investment advice, brokerage services, yield products, or profit guarantees. All decisions are made at your sole discretion and risk.
Peer-to-peer transactions involve independent counterparties. Fiat settlement is performed by matched users, not by WireMe. While WireMe provides smart contract-based escrow infrastructure and dispute resolution mechanisms, it cannot guarantee that counterparties will maintain liquidity or settle within expected timelines.
Blockchain transfers are generally irreversible. If you send assets to the wrong address, lose private keys, or approve malicious transactions, WireMe cannot reverse them. Once assets are released from escrow or transferred on-chain, recovery may be impossible.
The Services rely on blockchain networks, payment rails, third-party service providers, and internet infrastructure. These systems may experience downtime, congestion, cyberattacks, or other disruptions. Access to balances or conversion features may be temporarily unavailable.
Digital asset regulation varies significantly across jurisdictions and may change at any time. Regulatory actions, policy changes, or enforcement measures in any country may affect the availability or functionality of the Services. WireMe may be required to modify, suspend, restrict, or terminate services to comply with applicable law.
WireMe maintains a risk-based compliance program that may include identity verification, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, enhanced due diligence, and cooperation with lawful government requests. WireMe may freeze or restrict accounts pending review where required by applicable law. In certain circumstances, we may be legally prohibited from disclosing details of compliance reviews.
You are solely responsible for determining and fulfilling your tax, reporting, foreign-exchange, and legal obligations in any jurisdiction where you reside or operate. WireMe does not provide tax advice.
WireMe may collect and process personal information, transaction history, wallet activity, device data, and compliance screening results to verify identity, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Assets held through WireMe, including assets in escrow, are not bank deposits and are not covered by any government compensation or insurance scheme. Losses may occur due to issuer failure, cybersecurity incidents, counterparty default, regulatory action, or other unforeseen events.
By registering or continuing to use the Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted this Risk Warning Policy and that your participation is voluntary and at your sole risk.
WireMe LLC may engage affiliated entities or third-party service providers in certain jurisdictions to provide marketing, administrative, or customer-support services. Such entities do not operate the platform, hold custody of user assets, or enter into contracts with users on behalf of WireMe LLC.
